Applications are now open for the Twente University Scholarship (UTS) for the 2025 academic year. The scholarship is designed to help outstanding students in both the EU / EEA and non-EU / EEA countries, including those applying for a master’s degree at a twentieth university.
Scholarship winner for one year. Costs between €3,000 – €22,000. are deducted. Applicants for the two-year program must meet certain criteria to maintain the scholarship for the second year. UTS recipients may apply for additional scholarships (such as eligible scholarships).
The University was founded in 1961 as a Technische Hogeschool. The old name of University Unisite Twenty was in 1986. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs that are primarily taught in English and focus on technology. With 30% of students from abroad, the university accommodates students from 80 different countries.

University of Twente Scholarship Eligibility
Applying for a UT Scholarship to apply for a course at Twente University is a different matter. Regardless of the grant, you must first receive a letter of acceptance. This means you:
- Enrolled in the UT Master’s Program for the academic year 2024/2025 (September).
- Must have a student number.
- Have not graduated from undergraduate courses at UT (below).
- View visa requirements to enter the Netherlands (if required)
- IELTS Academic 6.5 (or TOEFL IBT of the 90s) and with additional speaking skills 6.0 (TOEFL IBT 20) for the General English Test.
- The Dutch are not eligible for student loans.
- University scholarships include scholarships for 20 students. In general, this means that you are 5 to 10% of your best class.

How to Apply?
- Candidates must 1st apply and be accepted into the Master’s program.
- After admission, students will have to apply for a separate scholarship.
