- Students can belong to any part of the world who are on a Canadian study permit or will be studying in Canada
- Students should have a secondary school certificate from a recognized institution.
- Students should apply for their first undergraduate degree.
- Students should demonstrate excellent academic results
- Students should also meet UBC’s admission requirements
- Students should also meet the requirements of the English Language
Benefits Scholarships:
UBC has provided a big amount of grants to its international students. Applicants must demonstrate their financial need, which limits them to complete a course at the University of British Columbia. If this is not enough to cover your education and living expenses, you can also apply for the International Scholarship Program. This money is provided in association with major international student awards and major entry scholarships.

Students can also apply for Vintage One Program with the following Conditions:
- Students meet all the eligibility criteria and did not meet UBC’s English Language
- Students should meet the requirements of  UBC Vantage College admission requirements
- Students should come from high school
- Students should also start their studies in UBC Vantage One Program
Scholarships At University Of British Columbia:
UBC has 2 merit-based scholarships, and applicants for these awards are automatically considered for admission to UBC. Applicants will have extra-curricular participation and access to their academic results. International Major Entrance Scholarship:
The International Admissions Scholarship (IMES) offers additional academic outcomes to international students who undertake or intend to begin their UBC undergraduate studies. Students receive their first year at UBC IMES (International Scholarship). IMES is a type of renewable scholarship that lasts for 3 years. The number of scholarships varies from year to year, depending on the budget available.

The application deadline for the International Scholarship at the University of British Columbia is January 15 each year. This means that for now, you must apply before December 1
How to apply for IMES?
As mentioned earlier, you do not need to fill additional IMES scholarship form and your application for admission to UBC will be automatically processed for IMES.
Scholarship status:
Applicants will automatically be considered for IMES on receipt of an acceptance letter from UBC. Each year, IMES is decided by the Scholarship Committee from mid-March to the end of April.
Outstanding Worldwide Student Award:
This is a Type 2 award available on UBC. It is a one-time scholarship with a merit-based scholarship that is awarded to eligible international students when they are offered admission at UBC. Selected students show extra-curricular results outside the classroom and excel academically as well.

Its last date is IMES, OISA deadline is December 1.
How To Apply For The Outstanding Worldwide Student Award?
No special application is required for OISA. Your application for admission to UBC undergraduate is also considered for OISA. After receiving the acceptance letter, the application for the OISA Award will be considered.
