The White House Internship Program is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 session, providing a unique opportunity to gain direct experience at the heart of the U.S. government. This distinguished public service program invites undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates, and military veterans to contribute to the work of the “People’s House” while sharpening their professional and leadership skills. The internship will take place in Washington, DC, from September through December 2025.

Why Apply?
White House interns contribute meaningfully to the work of the federal government by supporting key policy and public service efforts. Their responsibilities range from conducting in-depth policy research and drafting briefing materials to handling official correspondence and assisting with high-level events. Interns may also attend meetings with senior officials and collaborate with teams in offices such as the Domestic Policy Council, the Office of Digital Strategy, and the Office of the Vice President. The program prioritizes mentorship, leadership development, and a strong commitment to public service, in alignment with the mission of the Trump Administration.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements: they must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with at least two semesters completed; have graduated from an accredited college or university within the past two years; or be a U.S.
You are a U.S. military veteran with a high school diploma (or equivalent) who has actively served within the past two years.
