The Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship 2025–2026 is a partially funded award available to international students. The University of Melbourne grants 50 scholarships annually to support undergraduate studies. Each recipient will be awarded a $10,000 tuition fee reduction for the first year of their undergraduate program.
This scholarship was established to recognize the important role international students play in enriching the University’s diverse academic environment.
Selection is based on academic merit and scholarships are awarded competitively, with allocations determined by course and regional quotas.

Benefits of the Melbourne Scholarship:
- In the first year of BS Study, students receive a $10,000 tuition fee waiver.
- For the remaining three years, they may receive either a 50% tuition fee remission or
- 100% full tuition waiver, depending on their academic performance and scholarship allocation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- International students from around the world are encouraged to apply for the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship.
To be eligible: - Applicants must not be citizens of Australia or New Zealand, nor hold permanent residency in Australia.
- Students must have received an offer to study an undergraduate program at the University of Melbourne.
- Students should have an outstanding academic record in high school.
- For GCE A-levels, a minimum of 4 A grades* is required.
- In an approved foundation program, a minimum score of 97% is needed.
- For the International Baccalaureate (IB), applicants must have a minimum score of 43 out of 45.
- Applicants must not have completed tertiary education (only up to two years of prior study is allowed).
