All international students wishing to pursue their degree with a Fully Funded Scholarship in Italy are encouraged to apply. This program is available for the academic year 2024-25.

Almost all departments and majors in Italian universities are available for full-time scholarships for Postgraduate programs. All costs will be covered.

The Italian government provides scholarships through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) to promote international cooperation in the fields of culture, science, and technology, promote the Italian language and culture, and support the Italian economic system in the world. This scholarship program is available for the 2024-25 academic year. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial aid to students who wish to study in Italy. MAECI offers scholarships competitively. Selection criteria include qualifications, financial needs, personal motivation, and fluency in Italian.   1. However, depending on the policy of each university, students will be exempted from paying tuition and registration fees.
  2. During the grant period, MAECI provides health and medical/accident insurance to the students.
  3. Students will receive a monthly stipend of €900. Scholarship grants are paid directly into a student’s bank account in Italy.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students applying for the Italian Government Scholarship in Italy must meet the following criteria.

  • The Scholarship for the Master’s program is awarded to applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree in their home country.
  • If you are planning to apply for a scholarship for one of the AFAM courses in Italy, you must meet the entry requirements and qualifications made by the relevant university/institution.
  • The applicant who wants to study for a doctorate. It is important for Italy to meet the entry requirements for a degree created by an Italian institution of your choice.
  • Applicants must be at least 28 years old to apply for a master’s degree, AFAM program, or Italian language and culture course.
  • Applicants for the Ph.D. program should not be more than 30 years of age at the time of application.
  • Students wishing to conduct research under the supervision of a tutor must be under 40 years of age.
  • Applicants wishing to enroll in courses taught in English must demonstrate English language proficiency by presenting a language proficiency certificate.
  • Applicants wishing to enroll in Italian courses must provide a certificate of proficiency in Italian.
