The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is now accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC), designed for Master’s and Ph.D. students from around the globe. These fully funded scholarships aim to attract exceptional international students to pursue advanced education in China.

USTC offers programs in both Chinese and English, catering to diverse academic needs. The Chinese University Program, supported by the Ministry of Education of China, promotes the enrollment of outstanding international students in select universities across various provinces and regions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Required Application Documents

Applicants must prepare and submit the following:

  1. Notarized degree certificates and transcripts.
  2. Passport-sized photo.
  3. Scanned copy of a valid passport.
  4. Two recommendation letters.
  5. Personal statement, study plan, or research proposal.
  6. Proof of language proficiency.
  7. Photocopy of the Foreigner
  8. Physical Examination Form.
  9. Certificate of No Criminal Conviction.
  10. Optional: Acceptance letter or additional supporting documents.

Language Requirements

  • Chinese-taught programs:
  • HSK 4 or higher (minimum score: 210, valid for two years).
  • English-taught programs:
  • IELTS (5.5 or above)
  • TOEFL (80 or above)
  • Alternatively, a certificate of English proficiency issued by the applicant’s previous institution.
