UNIL Masters Scholarship in Switzerland 2024

Applications are invited to apply for the UNIL Master Scholarship in Switzerland. All worldwide students from around the world are eligible to apply for the UNIL International Scholarship at the University of Lausanne. Students wishing to study for a master’s degree from Switzerland are encouraged to apply. This is a Funded scholarship available for the 2024 academic year. Also, apply for the Facebook Fellowship Program in the United States.

There are many educational and graduate programs with scholarships. Master’s scholarships are scholarships awarded specifically to students who have graduated from a foreign university and whose academic results are of a very high standard. The university awards 10 awards annually.

Financial Benefits:

The UNIL 2022 Master Scholarship in Switzerland is a partially funded scholarship that offers CHF 1600 per month from 15 September to 15 July (or 10 months per year). Scholarship applicants are informed that the scholarship award is not sufficient to remain in Switzerland.

  • Faculty of Law, Criminal Justice
  • Public Administration
  • Faculty of Geosciences and Environment
  • Faculty of Business and Economics
  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
  • Faculty of Theology and Sciences of Religions
  • Interfaculty Programs

This programs is not included in the scholarships:

  • Master from the School of Medicine
  • Master of education
  • Master of Law from (Universities of Zurich and Lausanne)
  • Master of criminal Law, magistracy specialism
  • Master of Science
    • Physical Education
    • Sports Didactics
  • Master of Science in Health sciences
  • All MASs (Ph.D. programs)

Document Required:

Students must provide the following documents when applying for the award.

  • The Students form is completed and signed.
  • Passport size photo included in the application form (in JPEG format)
  • Copy of High School Diploma.
    • An authentic/notarized translation of any document not written in French,
    • German,
    • English, or Italian is required.
    • Bachelor Degree.
  • Copy of  last semester program of your BS course, if the degree is not yet obtained.
  • CV Update (How to Write a Perfect CV)
  • Cover letter
  • Two main letters of recommendation from volunteer professors in sealed envelopes.
  • A copy of the language proficiency certificate in which the instructor taught (TOEFL or IELTS for English and DALF or DELF for French).
  • Copy of your passport or ID card.
  • CHF 200.00 Proof of payment of an administrative fee (application processing fee)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates following the requirements to apply for the scholarship:

  • Obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a foreign university is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree at UNIL before starting a master’s program at UNIL.
  • Set yourself apart during your studies, especially through excellent academic results.
  • Language level at least B2 in French (according to the Worldwide European Language Collection) or at least C1 in English, depending on the language your chosen teachers teach.
  • UNIL. not registered with
  • CHF 200.00 for an administrative fee (see documentation, “List of documents associated with your program”).

Deadline:

The deadline to apply for scholarships at the University of Lausanne 2024 for international students is November 1, 2023.

  1. November 1st: Last date of application
  2. November-December: Programs processed by the Office of Student Affairs and Mobility (SASME) and the Department of Admissions (SII)
  3. December-January: SASME notifies applicants whose application is incomplete or not accepted by the Department of the Interior whose applications for scholarships have been rejected.
  4. January to February: Complete schedules will be sent to colleges for eligibility for selected master’s degrees.
  5. Feb-March: SASME notifies the candidates whose applications have not been accepted by the faculty.
  6. March: The MS Scholarship Selection Board selects the candidates for the MS Scholarship.
  7. Early April: Candidates will be informed of the selection board’s decision.

How to apply?

To apply for a UNIL master’s degree, you do not need to apply for a master’s degree through admission (SII).

  1. The application form should be filled on the computer and signed by the candidate.
  2. Applying for a Master’s degree is also a request for admission to the Master of your choice (and therefore an application for enrollment at UNIL).
  3. Incomplete programs are not considered, especially those who do not have a certified copy of the training certificate.
