Applicants are preferred with low incomes and specifically from distant families. The McDonald’s Scholarship is a 2-year Fellowships which will be approximately £30,000 GBP a year. This grant can cover your travel, food, and accommodation expenses, and research expenses. In addition, the host institution will receive GBP £2000 per year.
The McDonald’s MSIF Fellowship can be done in practice or in a hospital or home or institution. Following the award, McDonald hopes applicants will be able to use the newly developed skills and networks. The Fellowships in partnership with awarded the McDonald MSIF-ECTRIMS Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
We encourage potential applicants to think creatively with their proposed hosts about possible solutions.
- Worldwide students from low and middle-income countries are eligible.
- Candidates must be at least a master’s or doctoral student. or MD.
- If the travel permit (in previous years) applicants must be in a research institute/hospital abroad.
- In a research institute/hospital in your country
- Virtual projects in whole or in part under the supervision of the host organization

This is a joint application of the applicant and the host. Candidates should identify a suitable project and host supervisor at a foreign institution.
