The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is organizing the IRENA 2024 Youth Logo Contest where the winner will be invited for a free trip to the UAE. IRENA is an international agency that helps countries transition to a sustainable energy future.IRENA will launch targeted programs from 2018 to enable youth to participate in the transition to renewable energy and build a sustainable future. The International Logo Contest is currently undergoing rebranding and IRENA invites all young minds to submit their creative ideas.
In this international youth competition, young people from around the world are encouraged to come up with ideas to improve IRENA’s logo and youth identity, as well as to show their creativity and passion to contribute to sustainable energy The aim of the competition is to strengthen the bond between IRENA and the youth.
IRENA engages youth through capacity-building projects in governance, education and innovation, encouraging them to see what role they can play in shaping the energy transition in their communities. The IRENA Youth logo presented by the participants should reflect the values of innovation, sustainability, youth empowerment and inclusivity. This international logo design competition aims to bring to IRENA Youth a new and exciting logo that will attract young audiences and symbolize the essence of the programme.
The winning individual or team will be invited to the IRENA Youth Forum 2025 in Abu Dhabi to support the 15th session of the IRENA Forum from 9 to 14 January 2025. The IRENA Youth Forum will include the unveiling of the winning logos. The winner of this logo competition will be announced on the official website of IRNA and its social networks. The selected logo will be used as the official symbol of IRENA’s youth program on IRENA’s website, social media accounts and marketing materials. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants applying:
- Must be of 18-35 years of age.
- Logos must be submitted digitally via email to young@irena.org.
- A team can consist of two people.
- You can send up to three designs per email.
- A brief description of the plan in 200 words in PDF format and how it fits into the IRENA Youth Initiative.
Requirements:
- It should contain the words “Irena Youth”.
- The logo can be redesigned or inspired by an existing logo.
- The IRENA Youth logo and the IRENA logo should be combined to create a new logo.
- IRENA Youth is to be a sub-brand of IRENA.
- The color scheme should relate to IRENA’s concept. Use of blue color is preferred for IRENA.
- The logo should be used in any context.
- It should be relevant to the target audience aged 16-35.
- Submit each logo on a separate A4 page.
- Logo design must be in high resolution vector format (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG).
- There should be two copies of each logo. One individual IRENA Youth logo and another IRENA Youth logo, combined with the IRENA logo.
Deadline:
- The last date to submit entries is 1st July 2024.

- Each logo is individually designed on A4 size pages.
