Financial Benefits
The Honjo International Scholarship in Japan is a fully funded award that provides generous monthly stipends to cover living expenses throughout the study period:

¥230,000 per month for programs of 1–2 years

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Honjo International Scholarship 2026/27, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

Citizenship: Must not hold Japanese citizenship.

Enrollment: Be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a graduate program in Japan beginning September or October 2026.

Age Limit: Under 35 years old for PhD applicants and under 30 years old for Master’s applicants.

Language Requirement: Possess sufficient Japanese proficiency, as interviews will be conducted in Japanese.
