Eligibility Criteria

To study in Germany, applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the DAAD Scholarship.

Eligible Countries:  Students of Developing Countries Can Apply.

Academic Requirements:

  1. Students have a bachelor’s degree (usually a four-year course) in the appropriate subject
  2. The student should have at least two years of experience
  3. Students can prove that their motivation is related to progress and they are expected to fulfil their social responsibilities and initiate and support the process of change in their personal and professional environment after training/scholarship.
  4. The final degree (usually a bachelor’s degree) must be completed six years in advance.

English Language Requirements:

Documents Required For Apply:

Required documents (in the following order):

  1. Download the DAAD Request Form: Download from the Request Process section
  2. Handwritten CV (please use the Europass sample form at http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/)
  3. A written letter cover (referring to the current profession) to 2 pages.
  4. Scientific Letters of Recommendation (Letters must have the title of the article, signature, and seal of the office and must be up to date)
  5. Professional letter of recommendation from your employer (experience letter) (letters should have a paper title, signature and seal of office, and a date)
  6. Job confirmation from your country’s employer and – if possible – a guarantee of a new job after returning home.
  7. Proof of language skills:

  10. German – required for courses in English, if available
