The Harvard Merdeka Edition of the Global Debate Championship 2026 is organized by European Voice Assembly under VOOICE ASSEMBLY USA, in partnership with the Harvard Debating Society. This five-day international championship will bring together students, young debaters, professionals, and aspiring leaders from around the world to exchange ideas and debate important global issues.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their public-speaking abilities, strengthen their critical-thinking and argumentation skills, and engage in parliamentary debate, diplomacy, and cross-cultural exchange. The championship aims to create an international platform where emerging leaders can present their perspectives, challenge opposing arguments, and develop a deeper understanding of global affairs.

Hosted in the vibrant Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur, the event combines intellectual competition, international networking, and cultural interaction. Participants will have the chance to compete for the Global Debate Championship title and, according to the organizers, receive an official Harvard Debating Champion Certificate, subject to the event’s applicable terms and conditions.
