Benefits Of Scholarships:
Japan Study Support Scholarship invites international students to continue their education in Japan as easily as possible. There are two types of scholarships available for the selected students. The details are as follows:
Type 1:
This is a kind of 1 grant. This type of scholarship is 500,000 yen. This amount will be provided to the successful applicant. But first, the applicant has to enroll in the Japanese University of his/her choice.
Type 2:
This is a Type 2 grant. This type of scholarship is 100,000 yen. This amount will be provided to two successful applicants. But first applicants have to enroll in their preferred Japanese university.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must study the following criteria and check whether they fulfill the criteria or not. If there are conditions, it is up to the applicant whether to apply or not.
- Candidates belonging to any part of the world except Japanese citizens are eligible to apply
- Candidates should have been accepted to enroll in a Japanese university graduate or undergraduate degree program
- Candidate’s enrollment in their desired university should be confirmed
- Candidates should have registered MY PAGE with JAPAN STUDY SUPPORT
- Candidates should receive a message from their desired university via the “JPSS Scout function”
- Candidates should be able to speak in Japanese or English language
- Candidates should have a Japanese bank account
- Candidates should have a Japanese bank account (in which the scholarship amount is to be transferred)
Required Documents:
The applicant has to upload the following documents while applying:
- Application form
- Short article (with character limit not exceeding 800 Japanese characters or 350 English words. The article’s topic should be ‘Study Movement and Future Goals in Japan’).
- Self-introduction video (takes no more than 30 seconds)
Applicant Period:
There are 2 application periods for this Japan Scholarships. The detail is given below:
Spring Period:
This period is for those students who are enrolling in April – May 2024. The deadline for this application period is from April 31, 2024, to May 31, 2024.
Fall Period:
This period is for those students who are enrolling in September – November 2024. The deadline for this application period is from August 23, 2024, to October 31, 2024.
Selection Method:
There are 3 steps of their selection are given below:
Step 1:
Document Screening in this 1st round of screening
Step 2:
Interview in this 2nd round screening
Step 3:
A notice provided to successful Students
Important Notes:
- Please fill out the application form with the correct detail. Incorrect information forms will be rejected and any scholarship received by the applicant must be paid back.
- If the successful applicant is not able to complete his/her degree due to various reasons. Then he had to return the scholarship money.
